more girlfriday

Here's a re-working of the comic, complete with slightly darker line work and some minor colour adjustments, and another for an article titled 'unplugged'. Still no word on the release date for the magazine, hopefully February (?) as that was the plan!

advice to sink in slowly

My poster design for the successful 'advice to sink in slowly' project. The posters which are all designed by graduates of University College Falmouth are then given to new students enrolling on a Ba course at UCF. The 'advice' project is now in it's third year, and is expanding to include workshops in primary and secondary schools, an album of songs, a series of short stories posters, and the project is to be piloted at Mississippi State University this November! Along with these new ventures there will be the annual exhibition at The Poly, Falmouth, and the highly desirable postcard pack. I know work is still being done on the website, but I'll post a link as soon as it's up and running again.

Babahogs is a newly opened tea/coffee/gallery/space in Falmouth. Owned by a University College Falmouth student who inherited a sum of money and decided to make his dreams of running a cafe/gallery space come true!
The official opening is in September, but in the mean time has opened up for the summer :)
and is putting on the first exhibition tonight!!!
Of which I am a part of, so come and take a peek if you can (i'll try and get some pics up soon)

update

New website is up!
well half up ... the important bits have been updated, but there is still more to go ... (such as the link to here)

London was a crazy whirlwind, I'm still trying to catch up from it. Some good news though, I should, with any luck, be in the new Martin Dawber book! Details to follow when I know myself.

updated website

My updated website should be online soon, soon, soon with any luck, fingers crossed for before New Designers (Thursday 10th - Sunday 13th). Unfortunately as I am currently relying on UCF for hosting it a waiting game as to when they will get round to it.
Speaking of London exhibitions, the University College Falmouth Illustrated book of Quotes book launch is to occur on Tuesday the 8th at the Royal Society of Arts in London!

in the beginning ...

Just got back from a brief visit to New York where i met with several creatively inclined people to gain some professional feedback on my portfolio. Following some helpful advice from Charles Hively, publisher of 3x3 magazine, this is my next step in my all important self promotion. Also just got my business cards back from the printers (which unfortunately arrived just after i left for NY) and with only 2 weeks left untill i put up my degree show, and then 2 shows in London after that and a book launch for the UCF Illustration Book of Quotes i'd hope he would be at least a little impressed!
